Netflix announced today that it has revived Longmire, ordering a fourth season of the crime drama. It has been less than three months since the show's original network, A&E, cancelled the series, resulting in an outcry from its devoted fanbase.
Season 4 of Longmire will consist of 10 new episodes set to premiere in 2015 in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The story will pick up moments after the events of the Season 3 finale, which should be welcome news to fans left hanging after A&E dropped the show.

Couldn't believe when I read A&E cancelled this awesome Series. THANK YOU Netflix for being shrewd Business people, and keeping the Longmire Series Alive!! NOW if you would only do the same thing with "The Glades", TRULY a GREAT Series, which deserves to be still in the making, or at the very LEAST, closed with an ending!!!

I'm glad they revived Longmire, I just wish it had been on a channel I could watch since my isp is so crappy and makes it hard to watch anything online. That was the reason I cancelled Netflix.

good news....boo to A&E, I won't ever get hooked on one of their new shows again. Now I need Netflix to do something about The Glades....either pick it up or wrap up the cliffhanger.

We are grateful to Netflix. It was our sincere hope that they would pick up Longmire. It is a truly good show with a following that hasn't been seen since Gunsmoke. A good original storyline, unforgettable characters and proven numbers that held no reason for cancellation other than greed. Kudos to you Netflix and this is the reason that My kids are getting year long Netflix memberships for Christmas. Netflix is supported by the people who pay for it and it's good to know that they listen. As long as they do, they will have our support.
