The horror spin-off will return in 2017.
April 15, 2016
AMC announced today that Fear the Walking Dead has been renewed for a third season. The pickup comes less than a week after the show's sophomore season premiere, which drew solid viewership on par with its Season 1 finale. The early renewal is not out of character for the show, as it was initially renewed for a second season months in advance of its series premiere.
The network has ordered 16 episodes for Season 3 of Fear the Walking Dead, which is a slight increase over the 15 ordered for Season 2. Look for a premiere in 2017.

sad, lame-o spinoff

Lame. Ive never wanted people to be eaten by zombies more; not before watching this show and it's unlikable characters. Really surprised by this renewal given that it's obviously to fill the void for the real zombie show Amc cares about.

A little early to decide on a renewal and as far as being better than TWD I have heard NO ONE say that.A lot of people up in they air about this one.Characters not very likable.

This show is clearly just a spot filler for AMC while The Walking Dead cast gets a break.
