Should have died at season 3... everything after that was just padding to get a paycheck.. the writing sucked more and more each progressive season.

There are definitely some characters I will miss seeing, but I do believe it's time to retire this show, especially with so many new spin-offs in the works.

The original premise disappeared over time and it's kind of gone down TWD path. It also kind of jumped the shark a little bit with the whole nuclear blast arc.

the story jumped so many sharks i was happy to see madison reappear.

but now she does the jump shark get baby back from overlord scenario.

I can't say I will miss it at this point. The best season ironically was when they killed off most of the original cast. The story line and plotting that season were exceptionally well done.

But the series always had an identity crisis. It started out as an ordinary family caught up in the apocalypse, but then it had to turn them into superheroes at the center of everything. It was just the west coast version of Rick and his gang in the east. And too many of the characters went through radical character changes that didn't make sense.

Kind of expected it to end after 1 or 2 seasons after walking dead ended so not shocked. Alicia left the show but always expected her to return so I'm hoping she'll return for the 2nd half of the series finale now knowing its ending

It was a decent show. The nuclear disaster storyliine was not needed. But I think it is good enough to watch to the end if you want bad watch "rings of power". Nothing to do with tolkien much .

I am a very big fan of the show, even acknowledging some of the more ridiculous aspects. I know that many fans were turned off when the show was rebooted as a Morgan Jones spinoff, however the show accomplished its missions of showing the first 90 days of the apocalypse before jumping forward to post-savior era.

The show was personally at it's best when Garrett Dillahunts John Dorie was the moral compass of the show. The later addition of Keith Carradine as John Dorie sr also added a lot of depth to the Dorie family as they eventually replaced the Clark's.

I hope very much to see some of the characters again, hopefully we can get a "Sarah and Wendell" short series that features everyone's favorite apocalypse truckers bringing beer to settlements.

I wouldn't mind a final walking dead series after we bring Rick, Daryl, Negan and Morgan back to Alexandria and see them as old men in that time jump that ended the original comic.

Hopefully the writers knew that this was the last season in time to wrap up the storylines and bring some closure. It had it's ups and downs but I really enjoyed most seasons of this show. It got REALLY bad last season though and was just brutally hard to watch.

Good riddance. Go woke go broke. Glad to see this horrid franchise finally come to an end. Now maybe the country's IQ might increase a couple of points with this vapid trash no longer infecting our tube boxes.
