AMC announced today that Fear the Walking Dead has been renewed for a fourth season. The early pickup comes in the weeks leading up to the premiere of the zombie drama's 16-episode third season on June 4.
Today's news included some behind-the-scenes changes for Season 4, as Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg - who both last worked on Once Upon a Time - will be joining the show as co-showrunners. They will be taking over for Dave Erikson, who will be departing after Season 3 in order to begin developing new products for AMC Studios. Also, the current showrunner of The Walking Dead, Scott M. Gimple, will be added as an executive producer on Fear.
Fear the Walking Dead is a companion series to the mega-hit The Walking Dead, taking place in the same universe but at the beginning of the zombie apocalypse focusing on new characters in a different location.

I have definitely enjoyed the first 8 episodes of this season of Fear The Walking Dead. Morgan was a great addition along with John, Naomi, and Althea with some of the returning characters. This show has been way better than The Walking Dead's past few seasons and it doesn't need to rely on a comic book material source. I'm so excited for the last 8 episodes when they premiere on August 12th. I really hope Fear The Walking Dead gets renewed for a season 5. Best show ever.

Don't watch tv often. However, this is one show I thoroughly enjoy. Wish the haters would be quiet and let them continue making this good show.

I find it hard to believe no one but myself is complaining about watching a full episode spoken in Spanish! Who the hell wants to read a tv show?

How does a show like this get renewed? Absolute garbage in every conceivable way! This monstrosity should have been literally put to rest at the end of the first season.

I actually find the 16 part webisodes they run during Walking Dead seasons a bit more interesting than the series itself. I really just wish they'd kill teh Kim Dickens character. I like Dickens and it's not about her.. it's the writing. Her character is just a walking contradiction... the pseudo "leader" but then pulls off completely stupid things everyone just goes along with. When she turned on those lights so Nick could maybe see them.. I'd have shot her. :)

I agree Tammy, they have to do something. Maybe the
OUAT Showrunners can fix the show. They can start by killing off 90% of the cast and starting over. the only decent character they had was Daniel, the Hispanic dad and they killed him off way too soon.

Good, maybe this change will improve the show. It's good but not good enough for me to worry about missing an episode or more.
