FX orders more of its new comedy.
September 20, 2016
FX announced today that Better Things has been renewed for a second season. The good news comes after just two episodes of the freshman comedy, which is off to a solid start through its first couple of weeks on the air.
The show's September 7 premiere was watched by 1.4 million viewers (Live+7), and particularly struck a chord with females, ranking as the second-most watched comedy episode of the year on basic cable among women 18-34.
Created by Pamela Adlon and Louis C.K., the series stars Adlon as a divorced actress raising her three daughters in Los Angeles. FX has commissioned 10 new episodes for Season 2, which matches its first-season order.
