The speedster drama will return in the fall.
January 8, 2017
The CW announced today that The Flash has been renewed for a 4th season. The action drama has continued to be one of the network's strongest-performing series, with its ratings consistently topping fellow superhero-based entries Arrow, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow.
Along with The Flash, The CW also renewed its four other returning fall dramas today. Picked up for the 2017-2018 season are Arrow, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supernatural. As for the network's freshman entries, No Tomorrow and Frequency were absent from today's list of renewed shows. They likely will not be returning for a second season, but we won't know for sure until May.

With strong writing, I can see this surpassing Smallville for longest-running DC Comics show. The possibilities are endless with Barry's time-traveling abilities. Can't wait until the "Crisis" storyline hits.
