The veteran speedster drama will continue in 2020-2021.
January 7, 2020
The CW announced today that The Flash has been renewed for a seventh season. The action drama continues to be one of the network's strongest-performing series, with ratings that consistently top its fellow superhero-based entries.
Currently in its sixth season, the series is sitting at 123 episodes - an impressive feat for a superhero-based TV show. Fellow veteran series Arrow, which ends its run this season, will reach 170 episodes by the time it signs off. Even with today's pickup, The Flash will need at least one more season to surpass that lofty number.
The Flash follows forensic scientist Barry Allen, who fights crime using his speedster abilities as The Flash, with help from his friends at Star Labs. Based on the DC comic, the series takes place in the same universe as fellow DC-based superhero fare on the network.
The CW renewed all five of its ongoing DC shows today, which means Batwoman, The Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and Black Lightning will also be returning for the 2020-2021 television season.

I liked this show, but got tired of the cross show crap. I decided to stop watching it when they said I had to go watch the storyline on another series yet again. It seems really lame like they are trying to get other viewers to watch the other DC series.

Once upon a time I enjoyed this show. But it's just been regurgitating old plots for several years now. None of it makes sense, there's no real sense of continuity.

Still one of my favorites... but barely now. I dont know why, but the Bloodwork arc this season (which on paper should be fascinating) hasnt struck me as overly... ?villainish... I dunno... i guess im tired of the "misunderstood" bad guy theme... Still happy it was renewed, ill continue to watch!
