The speedster drama will return for 2018-2019.
April 2, 2018
The CW announced today that The Flash has been renewed for a fifth season. The action drama continues to be one of the network's strongest-performing series, with ratings that consistently top its fellow superhero-based entries.
It is unknown if Season 5 will consist of the typical 23 episodes it has received in each season thus far, but even with a shorter order, the show will reach the 100-episode milestone when it returns.
Along with The Flash, The CW renewed all of its other DC universe programs today. Also picked up for the 2018-2019 season are Arrow, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and newcomer Black Lightning.

After Supernatural, this is my favorite show on the CW. I like the humanity Guston brings to the role. My only experience with the Flash before this was the animated movies/shows where he was used as comic relief. This is a great change. This season has picked up a bit but the Dibney character is annoying and bothersome. Hopefully he doesn’t continue with the series.

Great villains this year. And good teamwork and such. The flash delivers each season only this one was better than the last by a long way for sure.
