No Season 5 for the cable drama.
March 8, 2018
Word is out this evening that TNT has cancelled The Librarians after four seasons. Showrunner Dean Devlin took to Twitter with the news, posting that he will be attempting to find a new home for the movie-based series. The show aired its final episode just last month.
The adventure drama premiered on the cable network in 2014 as an expansion of its hit movie franchise, following an ancient organization hidden beneath the Metropolitan Public Library whose members dedicate their lives to protecting the world from the secret, magical reality hidden all around.
The reason for today's cancellation is unclear, as The Librarians was a solid performer for the cable network over the course of its run. It was however, one of the last series still on the air from before Kevin Reilly became president of TNT. Since his arrival, Reilly has been taking the network's original programming in a different, more edgy, direction.

All I can say is that this was the only show I still watched on TNT. Not a fan of their "different, more edgy direction!" Bunch of BS. This was an incredible show, and I sincerely hope they find it a new home, maybe on Netflix or something.

Well just another reason to stop watching TNT. Executives who don't consider their audience and only want shows that in my opinion are based in violence and pornography do not need my viewership. This show was fun for the family and had a great cast. It really saddens me that we are loosing more and more family friendly based television shame on TNT.

Wow...TNT does it again and cancels another really good show! Not watching any new TNT shows. Why bother!

I can't believe this. Do the executors of TNT not know a good thing when they see it. This is so sad. Loved this show. It was a fun type of show that a family can watch together. Hoping behind hope that is goes to another network.

Another show I liked down the drain. I wish these networks would cancel some of the living brain donors that make these decisions.

This is devastating news for a show that's been so much fun. The airing of two episodes/week early in the most recent season made me worry. Now this. Crossing my fingers that another network picks up this gem. Please????

very sad that it is cancelled. Liked the show. But the last season almost seemed like it could be a final season. The way the story was going.

I am disappointed that TNT cancelled this show. I really enjoyed it and wished they would have given it another year at least.
