The long-running reality competition remains strong.
April 18, 2018
CBS announced today that Survivor has been renewed for Seasons 37 and 38. On the air since the year 2000 with over 530 total episodes, the competition series is the longest-running reality show on broadcast network television.
After 18 years on the air the series exhibits no signs of losing steam, as its ratings consistently top its time slot competition. It is also one of few prime time shows that airs two cycles in a typical television season - another sign that viewers are not tiring of the format.
Look for Season 37 of Survivor this fall, with Season 38 likely premiering in early 2019.

Was once a very interesting show. Then the show started plugging gays, transgenders, and some really crazy freaks. I'm surprised they haven't had on reformed child molesters and rapists. Yes, I quite watching the season they had on freak Zeke.

I haven't watched since my last comment and haven't missed it a bit!

I was a faithful viewer second season through the previous season, when the producers so obviously manipulated the rules to allow the Marine to win, the sentimental favorite. They stole that show from the middle aged lady who ended up losing the fire competition, something they had never done in the past in absence of a tie. Will never watch again. This show can't hold a candle to the Amazing Race; Race On!

The shows won't die as long as they continue to perform well. Just how it works.

The tribe has spoken. This show is past its prime.i wish we could put all these reality shows to rest and get some better scripted shows. We've had 30+ cycles of survivor and amazing race. DWTS just wont die. The voice is racking up seasons as well. Enough!
