come on lades and gents. i myself have been trying to ween off the scripted survivor series. but i got to tell ya, just sit there and watch two seasons of alone. back to back. yes it is better cause it now teaches outdoor skills.

but sitting there thru the 100 time mentions of:
so gracious, so meaninful, this animal, so precious, i love waking up this morning, the winter is hard, gracious, honor the land, honor my dead ancestors, honor other ancestors, sit there and contemplate the bear, beaver, and birds. don't lose one of your nine arrows. SERIOUSLY ANYONE TRY TO WATCH TWO SEASONS OF ALONE BACK TO BACK AND NOT GET OVERLY BLEEWWSHPPED ON WHAT THE HELL WAS THE POINT.

@BennyD Alone is so much better than Survivor. I stopped watching Survivor a long time ago when they kept bringing back previous contestants; who already had their 15 minutes of fame.

This seems like a setup. For the past few years Survivor has filmed two back-to-back seasons on Fiji in order to cut costs. The series even makes reference to it during the show as Probst has said the second season contestants no longer know what happened in the previous season because it is filmed before the previous season is aired.

Yet here we have the grand announcement by CBS that season 44 will happen when most likely it has already been filmed.

@BennyD, i can honestly say i have never heard of it because i dont watch reality shows, but does sound more like actual surviving..

Indeed, total scripted nonsense.
With Probs playing cheerleader every step of the way in the 'challenges', the show is no longer letting the viewers discover the spectrum of the social contract the is formed (*Thats the way you do it!*).
You also have 'contestants' that spend more time talking to the camera with woke sound bites they obviously have rehearsed (than trying to form/manipulate relationships).

@The Punisher and that's why Alone is a WAY better show!

Social media has made production terrified of enabling any real conflict or controversy so none of these reality shows are actually worth watching anymore. It will be around forever though, because it's cheap and the scripted TV pool is somehow even more rancid.

total scripted nonsense, survivor would be drop them off, each with a knife and whoever is still breathing in the end wins..
