CBS announced today that Survivor is coming back for Season 46 with a midseason entry in February. The veteran reality competition is currently midway through its current 45th season, meaning the wait between seasons will be just over two months.
On the air since the year 2000, Survivor is the longest-running reality show on broadcast network television. The series is showing no signs of slowing down, as it continues to be a reliable performer for CBS.
Season 46 of Survivor premieres on Wednesday, February 28. Like the current season, episodes will again be 90-minutes in length.

Early seasons they always had a bag of rice as a fall back.
This season, we never see them fishing, and the show keeps showing much of the natural fauna. And a whole lot of it is unendangered. So that is... food food food.
A snake, a crab, oysters and clams where you don't poo in the ocean. And non stop fishing.
There is a clear disconnect.
the show is starving them in weird ways to affect their thinking brains, and if they are smart, we haven't seen any hunting, fishing, or berry gathering this entire season.
Yes the show is getting perfunctory.
I've seen all the seasons and I doubt I could remember more than a few of the winners. There were some real characters and champions in previous seasons but now they just all blend together. And I wish they would leave Fiji and go back on the road again. I understand it's all about the $$$, but there's a certain sameness now to all the seasons. Even the challenges are recycled. I think even the crew must be bored at this point.
Ninety minute episodes don't help either. More is not always better.
Once they stopped casting hotties and started with misfits you knew it wasn't good.
Btw rating might be slightly up, but it will never get close to the 1st 4 seasons.
Its honestly a competition of feeling now vs strength.
I do dvr it and fast foward through it
It is not a 90 minute episode. It is 63-64 minutes run time and 26-27 minutes commercials.
So much loss of time.
Giving them 90 minute episodes has been incredible for my enjoyment of the show as well. Great decision.
