CBS announced today that Survivor has been renewed for a 43rd season. The good news comes ahead of tonight's Season 42 premiere and further extends the veteran competition series' record-setting run as the longest-running reality show on broadcast network television.
On the air since the year 2000 with over 600 total episodes, the series is showing no signs of losing steam, as its ratings remain consistently solid. Per the network, Survivor is also its most-streamed reality series on Paramount+.

I watched every episode as it aired until mid season 41. Now I record it and might watch.
Survivor went from having the toughest men and women they could find to privileged misfit who tell us how bad their lives were or are.
Now its just a soap opera...

It's a long way from it's pioneering days as a reality show. What keeps it going is that game play and survival strategies have evolved to new levels over the years. I can do without some of the stunt casting, it's all about each person's personality no matter what their background and how they all mesh that keeps the show alive.

Real question.....what makes this show woke?
I stopped watching because it seemed to scripted to me. Guy: I'm going to go look for an idol.....minutes later "Look what I found!!" I wish they would go back to the original formula from the first season "survive" not all of these twists and turns and advantages.

@ChrisW It's only Woke if that is all you're focusing on. I hope your mom can't see you say stuff like that over a TV series... Don't like it? Don't watch it? If you focus on the little bits of "Woke" you might want to focus on the underlying issues inside yourself. :(
