No Season 4 for the devilish drama.

Days before its third-season finale, Fox has cancelled Lucifer. Star Tom Ellis broke the news this afternoon on his Twitter acccount with a message expressing his sadness to fans. The comics-based drama was a decent performer for the network over a good portion of its time on the air, though ratings were hitting series lows this time around.
The hour-long series follows Lucifer Morningstar, who has retired to Los Angeles from his duties as The Devil to indulge in a more carefree lifestyle. That is, until, he finds a new purpose in life and starts working alongside a homicide detective to solve crime and dispense justice.
Lucifer premiered early in 2016 as a mid-season entry, where it exceeded expectations to become Fox's 2nd-highest rated new series of the season. Its strong showing among viewers and critics prompted the network to shift the show to its regular fall lineup for season 2, but its momentum started slowing when it returned later that year.
The series finale of Lucifer will air on May 14.

Not surprised this has happened. This series was going nowhere, and the last few episodes of the current season were just horrible; they were like a parody of the series itself.
I wanted to see how it all concludes with Lucifer and God and Cain and Amanadiel (not much interested in the Chloe aspect of it all), but if only one episode is left this season, and its getting cancelled, then its gonna be a bloody cliffhanger.

Another stupid move by FOX, but then that doesnt surprise me at all. They love to cancel good shows, which is what scares me about them being the ones to renew Last Man Standing. Wanna put money on it the shows has a great first season and gets cancelled anyway, cause that what FoX does.

Gotta admit I was getting frustrated by this season. It was getting flat stupid. But had “faith” the next season would be better. Was a darn good show!

Another great show canceled by the corporate idiots of FOX. I'm starting to feel like why bother getting involved in FOX show they'll just end up cancelling it in the end anyway.

I just shrieked so loudly that my family came running. This is one of my top 3 shows currently airing. It isn't as good as the beginning, but so what. Time to pout now.

Disappointed to hear this - it was one of the shows I didn’t miss. Had a different storyline and Tom was great in it. I can drop Fox now - they have cancelled every show I liked.

FOX is making the wrong decisions to improve ratings. This just tells me when they find a decent show they will get rid of it in favor of a bad or stupid show.

So disappointed. I agree that the show could of been improved. Especially season 3. But jeeze, really fox!. I hope another network picks up this show.

I can't believe this.
I loved this show! I agree the first two seasons were better but it was still entertaining. Hopefully another network will pick it up.
