No Season 5 for the family comedy.
May 10, 2019
It is being reported that CBS has cancelled Life in Pieces. The sad news comes five episodes into the comedy's fourth season, which was moved to air in the mid-season this year for the first time.
The half-hour series has been a fairly consistent performer for the network, airing behind Mom, which acts as a reliable lead-in. The late season premiere this time around, though, had raised suspicions that the show was nearing the end of its run.
Life in Pieces follows three generations of the Short family, with each episode telling separate short stories that each focus on a different group of the clan. New episodes resume airing on May 23.

I am really sad life in pieces is not being renewed!! I love this show!!
The writing is amazing and the cast is so perfect together. Why do so many other marginal programs get renewed but a quality show like this gets cancelled? I will be sending good thoughts that it gets picked up by another network

I LOVED this show. I really hope another network picks it up. So many crappy shows out there getting renewed. I don’t understand why they would cancel another show. It was always hilarious

I'm in agreement; someone else pick up this show! I constantly have to rewind because I'm laughing too hard to understand what's being said!

Life in pieces was the best. It was a family show. I watched it every time it was on. Fox should pick up the show or Netflix.

Are you kidding! I’ve got nothin’... this show was great and well written. Why even get invested in shows.

VERY sad.... One of the more cleverly written shows on TV in my opinion. I know it’s a different network but how can shows like Bless This Mess get renewed but this doesn’t ? Ugh
