Hallmark Channel announced today that When Calls the Heart has been renewed for a tenth season. The good news comes less than a month after the drama's Season 9 finale, which garnered its highest viewership numbers of the season.
Currently the network's oldest original drama on the air, the series has been enjoying an impressively-long run thanks to steady viewership that has continued to rank it as one of cable TV's top-rated shows. Season 10 will see it surpass the 100-episode milestone.
Inspired by Janette Oke's book of the same name, When Calls the Heart takes place in the early 20th century and follows a young teacher from a wealthy eastern family who moves to a small western coal mining town for her first classroom assignment.
Look for Season 10 of When Calls the Heart in 2023.

It was a pleasant enough show for the first few seasons, but external issues forced changes in casting. Somehow the new characters just couldn't carry the show.

5 will get you 10 they cancel after S10, which same they might try and use to wrap up the loose ends. Then GAC will probably try to take it over and if we go by what they've done with WHC so far, the harties all die of old age waiting for S11 LOL!
