A comedy following on two brainy male professionals who live across the hall from an attractive waitress.
Sheldon and Leonard are physicists who also live together as roommates. When they meet Penny, a beautiful woman moving in next door who has showbiz aspirations, they realize they have a lot to learn about life outside the lab.

Love this show, it's one of my favorites. It's finally being shown that intelligent people can he funny and entertaining too, not just idiots.
Oh and people complaining about the laugh track? I've seen every episode and I didn't realize there was one.

For those of you who hate this show and want it cancelled, I have some bad news for you. This Season 7 premiere was the highest rated premiere ever with 18.9 million viewers. It has consistently high ratings, which means most viewers have good taste and thank goodness, disagree with you. So you will just have to learn to deal with it being on the air, since it isn't going away any time soon.

Both the biggest strength and weakness of the show is Sheldon. His antics lift the show, but those very antics and his overwhelming, unrelenting snobbishness can be excessively annoying! For me, his self-centered attitude has gone from being cute to despicable.

I love this show, I agree its not the funniest show out there and I agree the laugh track is annoying, but this show is truly funny and has a lot of jokes that make me laugh out loud!

I love this show and I think its quite humorous. But then again I like a lot of Chuck Lorres comedies. For those who feel the need to dump all over it and the people who like it, you do realize that debasing something doesn't make whatever it is you like any funnier. It just makes you look like an a*s. If you think people should be watching something else, why don't you ditch the negativity and just suggest a different show. That way you have a better chance of upping the viewership for the shows you like and keeping them on the air. Instead of just being jerks.

My husband and I both love BBTheory. I guess you just have to have a funny sense of humor. We watch the reruns and have purchased seasons on DVD If you ever get to catch it read the end where there is something posted after each episode. It passes so fast you just don't get a chance too but it is so hilarious. Love the way he writes. We even sing Soft Kitty to our cats. Bazinga!

we have enough jerks in the world who are stupid, why would anyone need to watch this for entertainment.I never watch it. My hubby thinks its great!Cancel this asap! No wonder our young people are messed up.

For all those who think this show is dumb; everything said by Sheldon is true. They made sure the facts where true. Even the math on the whiteboards. The jokes are hilarious. If you do not get it you must be one of the Jersey Kids. If you are, GO AWAY! You ruin great shows with your stupid wants. I would go as far to say you are stupid. The Big Bang Theory is the BEST television comedy show on the air.

Here is a thought for people who don't like the show. Change the channel. Watch something else. That is what I do for shows I don't care for.
