A drama following an agent-turned-fugitive who offers to help the FBI catch top criminals.

Ex-government agent Raymond "Red" Reddington has been one of the FBI's most wanted fugitives for decades, thanks to his skillful brokering of shady deals for top criminals around the world.

Red has mysteriously surrendered to the FBI with an offer to the agency. He will help them catch a previously-thought dead terrorist under the condition that he speaks only to a certain FBI profiler named Elizabeth Keen. As a twisting series of events unfolds in the race to stop a terrorist, they wonder what Red's true intentions are and exactly why he has chosen Elizabeth to deal with.

It is revealed that Red has actually compiled has a long list over the years that is known as a "blacklist" of politicians, spies, mobsters, and terrorists. And Red is willing to help catch them all, as long as he continues to work with Elizabeth as his partner.

I LOVE THIS SHOW!! I will admit it was a little off the original premise with everyone running around spastic about Liz, (I was actually okay with her leaving the show), but now I'm glad she didn't and the show is still fabulous!! I love Red, and hope next season will get back to actually bringing down the "Blacklisters!" and less Liz drama.

THird season was great, but most of this fourth season was wasted on Elizabeth's baby constantly getting tossed around and endless crying over its whereabouts and safety.
The January episodes have been much better now that the baby story is out of the way. Get back to the show's original premise of chasing spies and bad guys, let Tom Keen be an operative not a Daddy figure.

As a character, Red is great. Unfortunately I think this show has jumped the shark.

I've watched this show faithfully since its inception, and it is one of my favorite shows. HOWEVER, like many other shows (i.e. "Fringe") it has 'strayed' from its original premise: Shady, mysterious Raymond Reddington helping the FBI solve a "Black List" case and find and catch (or kill) a weekly 'bad guy'. That was a GREAT show. Unfortunately, it has slowly morphed into a ridiculous group of sub-plots, centering around Liz, which run through the entire season. As much as I love this show, and as popular as it was in it's first two seasons, I can make a prediction: If it doesn't return to its original premise/format with FBI Agent Elizabeth (instead of Soap Opera Elizabeth) back with the FBI, and catching 'weekly bad guys' with the aid of Red, this once-GREAT show's days are numbered!

Liz wasn't going anywhere. Tom didn't seem too broken up over her death, and that I noticed. Reddington was not prepared for her return obviously. The show is just too dang good to end like that. Looking forward to the return this Fall.

I knew she was still alive and they faked her death to protect her. This has been my favorite show since it first aired but that finale ending was stupid.

Glad Liz is gone. Always same stupid flat expression on her face no matter what was going on. No depth.
