A comedy following the life of a single 39-year-old woman.

Kat is a 39-year-old single woman who struggles every day against society and her own mother to prove that she can still live a happy and fulfilling life despite not having a partner. Which is why she spent all her savings to open a cat café in Louisville, Kentucky.

Her mother views her daughter's single-hood as her own personal failure, but Kat is determined to chart her own course to happiness. And while Kat is fine with her independence, her plans to be forever single hit a snag when her former crush and good friend returns to town and works as a bartender at the piano bar across the street.

I cannot believe this garbage is still on the air....how do shows like this survive when others with promise get the axe.

I thought this would be a great way to keep enjoying Mayim's work and have some laughs (I was wrong)

Call me CANCELED. This show was terrible to watch. The show has some seasoned actors, who looked like it was their first time acting. I thoroughly enjoy shows/movies that break the 4th wall, but when Mayim was doing it, it looked like she was begging for laughs, and all we got were laugh tracks

I really expected to not like this show, but I actually love it. Very light-hearted comedy. I hope it doesn’t get canceled.

Just watched it for the first time, and that was a looooooooong half hour. I really wanted to like it, but that was painful.

Execrable. A truly awful show. It’s based on the BBC show “Miranda,” but whereas Miranda Hart had an imposing physical presence and a genuine awkward goofiness (or is that goofy awkwardness?), Mayim Bialik is constantly straining way too hard to be cute and clever. She grins more than Ally Sheedy in “Short Circuit.” There’s rarely a moment that feels real, or funny. Also, they keep lifting sitcom conventions that may work for a BBC comedy, but seem odd and out of place here: breaking the fourth wall (who tf is she talking to?), the intrusive laugh track (in a show filled with cutaways and asides, is the ‘audience’ watching film clips?), the way the cast all comes out and waves at the end... Yecch. The second episode had a little more feeling, but when Bialik and Not-Boyfriend sat down at twin pianos to perform a Billy Joel medley, I had to cover my ears and leave the room screaming. We get it Mayim, you’re in show business and have a little musical talent, but what does that have to do with your character?

This show needs to find its own voice or to exit, stage left.

Holy crap, such a bad and non funny show. What a shame because there are some good actors that are wasted on this.

Acquired taste sitcom for sure. Pleasantly surprising that it wasn’t blatantly somehow preachy woke and political. Just some undertones. Not sure why Kentucky was chosen as a set up and characters don’t have a slight Kentucky accent. Yes there’s a one that I find it pleasant to hear. Her talking directly into the camera both distracting and SATC rip off. Her awkwardness seems very unnatural and fake.

Terrible show. The canned laugh tracks were annoying. I deleted it from my DVR

I thought I was good. Didn't have high hopes based off the trailers, but the show is actually good. I laughed. But then again, I have a silly sense of humor.
