FOX is bringing back the long-running dance competition.
December 20, 2012
FOX has renewed dance competition series So You Think You Can Dance for a tenth season. This is promising news for the Emmy Award-winning series, which saw its weekly results show taken away last season, forcing showrunners to revamp the 2-episodes-a-week format so many competition shows follow.
There have been no announcements made as to whether SYTYCD will continue with the single weekly episode format, but it appears that will be a continuing trend going forward.
Auditions for the new season begin in January 2013 and will continue through to March. No premiere date has been set yet, but a June return appears likely.
UPDATE: Season 10 will premiere on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 8:00pm.

A show about dancing--all types--the BEST!! I'm only interested in the dancing and the critiques. I would be happy to see the "America Votes" part of the competition be done!

I watched the first season, then occasionally an episode on the second and third. I liked the dance scenes but the talking and the stuff in between just got too much, and too boring! It's always the same comments. Now I wouldn't watch it if you paid me!

Just what we need....another reality competition show. While its nice that these shows give unknowns a fighting chance, the truth is, it's boring and that woman's yell is just annoying.

I don't miss an episode - I wish they'd go back to the separate results show, though - it's just too rushed with just the one show, and fewer episodes with multiple people being given the boot.

I fell in love with the show for about 3 seasons but my love affair soon became mundane. It has become quite boring and a chore to watch. Last season after giving it much thought (not really lol), I picked up my trusty remote, aimed at at the season pass of SYTYCD and pressed delete. The novelty was over.
I love Mary Murphy's hyena impressions but unfortunately I felt that she was damaging my ears. O_o

This show got old fast. I'm sure people love it, just not my cup of tea.
