ABC has announced that Dancing with the Stars will be returning in 2016 for a 22nd season. Once one of the network's top performers, the celebrity dance competition continues to maintain its place as one of its longest-running prime time staples.
Season 22 of Dancing with the Stars will premiere on Monday, March 21 at 8:00pm. Returning to the ballroom will be longtime judge Len Goodman, who took this past season off. The cast of celebrities will be announced at a later date.

I don't watch this crap, but I'm amazed at what gets on TV. Interestingly the ratings for this show seem to be high enough to keep it alive - Nursing home audiences were, after all, left high and dry when Lawrence Welk re-runs ended. After 22 "seasons" one wonders why a Spin-Off series such as Celebrity Hemorrhoidectomies was never launched... It surely would have been as interesting and as much fun to watch...

So many quality programs cancelled after only a few episodes, yet garbage like this continues for 22 seasons? SMH.

You mean dancing with the 3rd rate celebrity don't you?? I don't mind watching this show if it actually has a star on it but the last 4 or 5 seasons haven't had any major stars to speak of! All they get are people that need to loose weight or people trying to revive their careers!
