Fox has announced that Family Guy has been renewed for a 15th season. It has been 17 years since the Seth MacFarlane animated comedy premiered, and it still continues to be a reliable performer in the network's Sunday night lineup.

After starting out as a ratings-challenged series in 1999 with no consistent time slot and eventually being cancelled, Family Guy has managed to turn its fortunes around to become one of TV's longest-running shows.

Look for Family Guy to return this fall as part of the network's 2016-2017 schedule.
