The drama will return for Season 4 after all.
June 15, 2018
Lucifer fans can rejoice today, as Netflix has reportedly picked up the drama for a fourth season. The move continues the recent trend of revivals, proving that in the 2018 television landscape, the saying "one man's trash is another man's treasure" is more true than ever.
Originally cancelled by Fox a month ago, just days before its Season 3 finale, Lucifer quickly became a prime contender for revival after a strong outpouring of fan support. A #SaveLucifer campaign quickly gained traction online as other popular recently-cancelled shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Expanse found homes on new networks. Lucifer's producer, Warner Bros. Television, immediately made it known that they were shopping the series around to other outlets. Now one month later, they have reached a deal with the streaming giant that will see the show move online from its home on broadcast TV.
Based on a character from DC Comics' Vertigo imprint, the hour-long series follows Lucifer Morningstar, who has retired to Los Angeles from his duties as The Devil to indulge in a more carefree lifestyle. That is, until, he finds a new purpose in life and starts working alongside a homicide detective to solve crime and dispense justice.

Totally agree with Bonkers!!! If Lucifer was dead for good after that season finale, it would have been just plain Wrong!!! Thank U Netflix!!!

This is good news but not at all surprising. The Plopster predicted this not long ago in the show's main thread on this site. Plopster the Prophet. Or Plophet... Happy I was right, great show.

Finally, some good news floats to the surface after the shipwreck massacre end of season... Im in. Though im not sure if it will bring Netflix any new customers since im guessing most Lucifer fans (like me) already have Netflix. But this does help guarantee my subscription for at least another year. Hopefully they can get a little less wholesome with the story lines too not having to deal with that pesky FCC... Congrats to everyone who joined in the fight to save the show - and also thanks!
