CBS has picked up Big Brother for a 24th season. The good news was announced by host Julie Chen Moonves following Wednesday's season finale, which crowned the reality show's first ever African American winner.
On the air for over two decades, the veteran series continues to be one of TV's top-rated reality shows. Airing three nights a week, its episodes consistently draw solid viewership against its prime time competition.
In each season of Big Brother, a group of people move into a house together under the watchful eye of dozens of cameras that record their every move 24 hours a day. Each week one houseguest is voted out of the house until just one remains, receiving a $500,000 grand prize.
Look for Season 24 of Big Brother in the summer of 2022, with Julie Chen Moonves once again returning as host.

I can see the justification. While I do find the mentality of eliminating everyone not like them to be racist, it is also somewhat understandable for people who perceive each other to have similar backgrounds to be seen as more trustworthy. My problem comes in that in the future, people are going to want to prevent this from happening again, and it is going to become even more us vs. them than it is now. Anytime a black HG is targeted the cries of racism will come, but they did it to themselves. I'm concerned by what future seasons will look like.
It's BECAUSE the alliance SPECIFICALLY targeted others BY RACE that season 23 was racist. It was specifically their reasoning.. nothing else. They got along with others.. Ky would have kept Sarah Beth, Tiffany would have kept Claire, etc.... but they specifically voted them out because they were not black. That's the sheer definition of racism.
Yes there have been all white alliances.. but NOT ONCE did any of those alliances SPECIFICALLY target others due to race. If they had CBS would have put a stop to it IMMEDIATELY. And yes, there have been racist white contestants in the past, with ultimate no lasting power. There's NO EXUSE for the racism.. it wouldn't be tolerated by any other race... yet since it's black people, it's okay???
If ANY alliance states their purpose as "eliminating all other races so someone from our race can win" it DOESN'T MATTER which race it is.. it's racism. Season 23 just so happened to be a group of black contestants.. so everyone was walking on eggshells and afraid to mention the racism that's slapping them directly in the face.
It was pathetic for 2021... Seems society is taking a HUGE step backwards under the guise of "woke-ism". Segregation and dividing by race is a BAD thing.
