The reality series will be back again next summer.

CBS has picked up Big Brother for a 24th season. The good news was announced by host Julie Chen Moonves following Wednesday's season finale, which crowned the reality show's first ever African American winner.
On the air for over two decades, the veteran series continues to be one of TV's top-rated reality shows. Airing three nights a week, its episodes consistently draw solid viewership against its prime time competition.
In each season of Big Brother, a group of people move into a house together under the watchful eye of dozens of cameras that record their every move 24 hours a day. Each week one houseguest is voted out of the house until just one remains, receiving a $500,000 grand prize.
Look for Season 24 of Big Brother in the summer of 2022, with Julie Chen Moonves once again returning as host.

I actually do find this show to be scripted. Indicating what will make the rating stay high. But I watched last night a rerun of the catch up for Sunday’s show and when they did, the elimination challenge didn’t show her actually winning they just went right to the end and like she won so that is where I think it is scripted.

maybe when she's let go, when the show folds, she can join us ladies on the view! And there's always the Talk if Julie wants to go back to that hot mess. You guys really fudged it up, just terrible memories from that last idiotic season.

I don't believe the faithful viewers (who jumped ship during this season) will return. It was a dirty racist game and the people who were not black would probably get into trouble if they saw it and called them out. I can see fat Alyson Gordner laughing and coaching this crap behind the scenes...basically ruining their very popular show. People won't come back, it was insulting. I watched 2 or 3 episodes and gave up...saw a lot of crap they pulled on youtube...the chatroom on jokers updates was dead and without fun and joy that's usually there. I think they blew it and people are over this dumb ass show right about now.

This completely racist season has put me off the show for good, and I never missed it in the past. I am so disgusted with CBS that I didn't even watch one episode of Survivor. It's all so fake and orchestrated, it's not real. The producers make it all happen by coaching the people even on the worst of ideas, to encourage a specific outcome. The black alliance WAS racist, black people can be racist....it's a fact!

Competition may be real... the 5 minutes they show of them (unless it's a "questions" competition). But the padding of 30+ minutes of houseguests sitting the diary room explaining the competition is absolutely scripted. It's uninteresting to watch 30 minutes of diary room talking .. they need to simply shoe the fucking competition. Sure they can edit it for time in some cases.. but listening the explanations of the obvious is just stupid.
And.. how about some CREATIVITY.. 23 seasons and the SAME COMPETITIONS every year. Come on... The US version could learn a thing or two by watching Big Brother from other countries.

@Nudink - providing any sort of evidence or answering a simple question would provide more merit to your comments. Otherwise you're just as foolish as those you scorn. As far as the scripted comment, anything can become "scripted" when you have show creators poring through thousands of hours of footage. They can create whatever narrative they want. Perhaps that is what confused you?

This show is not scripted. If it was, they would have a script as that is the literal definition of scripted. Are people encouraged to say certain things? I'm sure they are but that doesn't qualify for the show to be labeled as scripted.
