The Archie Comics-based drama will continue this fall.
March 22, 2022
The CW announced today that Riverdale has been picked up for a seventh season. The news comes midway through the drama's sixth season, which recently brought the show past the 100-episode milestone.
Featuring re-imagined characters from Archie Comics, the noir-style drama follows Archie, Betty, Veronica, and Jughead as they navigate their high school years, and later, their young adult lives.
Look for Season 7 of Riverdale this fall as part of the 2022-2023 season.

Alternate universe and now superhero Archie? Dead Hiram Lodge without us getting to see a body? I mean I get that could mean he is still alive but Veronica saw a pic of the dead body so you would think they could have showed the viewers what she saw, even if it turns out to be a hoax. This show is getting too weird. Betty can see people's auras now? This was originally a teen drama with murder mystery. Now superhero shit? Multiverse with magic and demon stuff? Whatever. Its not good anymore but with 4 seasons invested, The Plopster is going to stick with it till the end. Hoping season 7 is the end.

I keep hoping it will start to gear more towards its Season 1 quality but instead it keeps going the other direction :(

The show is so jumbled, but I won't stray. I've been a fan since season 1 and I'll stick with it till the end

Like all other CW shows the ratings don't matter. The network is subsidized by ViacomCBS and WarnerMedia and has never made money.

I like this show, but it’s getting a little weird. I’m surprised it was renewed with the poor numbers it had last Sunday.
