The zombie drama's story will conclude later this year.
January 10, 2023
AMC announced today that Fear the Walking Dead will be coming to an end after its upcoming eighth season. The news comes as the network pencils in a return date for the 'Walking Dead' spinoff's final 12 episodes, which will air in two parts; the first six beginning on May 14 and the final six later in the year.
The zombie drama has been through some significant changes over the course of its run. Most of the original cast have departed and the current showrunners have altered its overall tone and storytelling style. The show's timeline has also aligned more with the recently-concluded mothership series, with two stars of 'The Walking Dead' having crossed over to Fear the Walking Dead.

Good riddance. Go woke go broke. Glad to see this horrid franchise finally come to an end. Now maybe the country's IQ might increase a couple of points with this vapid trash no longer infecting our tube boxes.

I'm glad to hear this show is ending. It has been bad, and the nuclear premise was ridiculous. It clearly jumped the shark, just like the other TWD shows.

Just would have been nice if they reconciled the 2 casts together for a mini reunion episode before they ended both.

Yeah I stopped watching this when they killed off the main characters and dragged it out so badly.

I loved the show's first 3 seasons. The last few seasons have been painful to watch. The whole original premise was changed - the early days of the apocalypse. It has sucked since Madison was "killed" in Season 4. Bringing her back wasn't going to save the show. I hate to say this, but I'm glad it's ending.

I stopped watching this around season 3.

I like the characters on this show very much. The writers always give away the endings of almost every episode by the halfway point. I do hope they wrap things up a little bit, as they did on TWD. Hopefully the Rick and Michonne show (PS stupid name) will bridge all three shows together, maybe even including world beyond. I doubt it.

Hallelujah. It's time for all of the Walking Dead shows to cease and desist. I know their are a few spin-offs in the works but I see no reason for them other than for AMC to try to keep some market share. AMC just pulled the plug on $400 million that included funding for various old and new shows. They ended a few series unexpectedly including an unseen new season for one that had already been filmed. It seems like there is a lot of trouble going on over there. But, Walking Dead sequels refuse to die just like their growling characters.
