The action drama has 10 final episodes left to air.
June 23, 2023
It is being reported that Magnum P.I. will be coming to an end on NBC after the upcoming second part of Season 5. The action drama still has 10 final episodes that will still air at a yet-to-be-determined date.
The updated take on the 1980s classic series originally premiered on CBS in 2018 and was a decent performer on Friday nights over the course of its run. The show aired a total of 76 episodes before being cancelled in 2022 after four seasons.
The very next month, though, NBC stepped in and revived the show for what was expected to be a fifth and sixth season over a total of 20 episodes. That plan has changed though, with the 20 episodes now being rolled into just one season - the current, and now final, Season 5.
Magnum P.I. follows security consultant Thomas Magnum, who works as a private investigator in Hawaii making a name for himself by taking cases nobody else will. Along with help from a team of fellow vets, Magnum utilizes his military skills to make a name for himself while on all sorts of sun-drenched adventures.

I love this show. Shame on the people who canceled it. I come from a family of military and its the only show that dedicated its time and effort of hearing veterans stories and incorporating their voices where it wasn't heard before. I have a cousin who served 2 tours in Afghanistan and came back with p.t.s.d and seeing that show put a smile on his face which meant more to me then anything else. Thanks for nothing. I want to say thank you to the actors and their hard work they put into this show i want to apologize to them for dealing with cooperate of keeping you the actors in limbo.

Magnum has always been good. But my favorite show were when Magnum was Tom Selleck. These shows and actors were good. The original one was better.

Blame the Writers Strike. P.S. when the writers return, there will be more cheap reality programs, so that means less jobs for writers. Swat and Magnum gone. Great shows with solid fan bases and really good ratings. Maybe it is time to cancel the networks?

I can think of a hundred shows that should be canceled, this NOT one of them. It's a shame it was saved just to give up on it.

Terrific show! Why cancel Magnum and keep so many mediocre, at best, shows? Great actors and stories. My favorite show!

And yet again the cancelation of a great program to make room for more stupid "reality" tv. Writers requesting and should be compensated accordingly. If they keep this up I'm canceling my tv/cable. Every time i attach to a great show some Exec decides he/she needs to make more money and those of us that aren't the majority and into brainless tv shows lose out. I'm over it. I'm sorry to the great writers and actors that fall into this required ratings over substance

Why cancel it? I don't understand. I'm down to a handful of shows I watch. They keep this trend up I'll just cancel tv altogether and only use Netflix and YouTube channels. Disgusting
