The procedural will return in 2014-2015.
May 7, 2014
It is being reported that NBC has renewed Law & Order: Special Victims Unit for a 16th season. The police procedural, which premiered in 1999, is the only remaining installment of the Law & Order franchise still on the air.
SVU is still maintaining a healthy rating in the key 18-49 demographic in its Wednesday night time slot. While no return date has been announced, a return for the 2014-2015 television season is expected.
UPDATE: Season 16 of Law & Order: SVU premieres on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 9:00pm.

I agree. Don't watch it if you don't like it. I love it but wish stabler would come back.

SVU is such a success because the rapists are convicted most of the time, unlike in real life.
