The long-running medical drama will continue in 2021-2022.

ABC announced today that Grey's Anatomy has been picked up for Season 18. The good news comes two years to the day after the veteran medical drama received a two-season renewal back in 2019.
Already the network's longest-running prime time scripted series of all time and the longest-running medical drama in TV history, today's pickup will see Grey's Anatomy reach the 400-episode milestone in 2022 - truly an impressive accomplishment.
On the air since 2005, the veteran Shonda Rhimes series continues to be a strong performer in ABC's Thursday night lineup. While its ratings are far from they were in its prime, the show still ranks as the network's top drama in the coveted adults 18-49 demographic.
Grey's Anatomy follows Dr. Meredith Grey and her coworkers at Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital. The staff of attending physicians, residents, and surgical interns are faced with all types of medical cases, from trivial to life-threatening. While furthering their careers, they learn and grow from the patients they treat and the relationships they form with each other.
Look for Season 18 of Grey's Anatomy this fall.

Mindless crap shows get renewed. Now I understand. I've never watched episode of this and I never will. I guess the people who they're asking or finding out if it watch the shows are the kinds of people that have no sense in there had so I guess that explains a lot of things going on in the world right now

Seriously? It is so bad this year and I want it over. I've invested so many years watching it, but my God it is boring and horrible, and now Jackson is leaving too. Can't stand Meredith - not from day one.

First clue that you have run of ideas .... When you make a spinoff that so completely sucks, no one will watch it. As is the case here.

I like the show, but Tucker is right.
Seemed to me like they were tying up loose ends with the more well known characters and storylines and headed for the end. Doesn't seem like much left to do except maybe an earthquake or an alien invasion.

The thing about SOAP OPERAS is they can run for decades and repeat storylines... no one remembers what happened in early seasons. --- Whatever this show started out as... it is now merely a prime time soap opera.

Seriously it’s time to close the hospital
