The medical drama reaches a new milestone.
March 24, 2023
ABC announced today that Grey's Anatomy has been picked up for a landmark 20th season. Coming midway through Season 19, the news extends the show's record as prime time's longest-running medical drama.
On the air since 2005, the Shonda Rhimes series continues to be a solid performer in ABC's lineup. While its ratings aren't what they were in its prime, the show still ranks as the network's top drama in the coveted adults 18-49 demographic. It's also a Top 5 overall drama in the same demo.
Grey's Anatomy follows the doctors working at Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital. The staff of attending physicians, residents, and surgical interns are faced with all types of medical cases, from trivial to life-threatening. While furthering their careers, they learn and grow from the patients they treat and the relationships they form with each other.
Look for Season 20 of Grey's Anatomy this fall as part of ABC's 2023-2024 lineup.

Gradually losing interest - and now with Meredith gone. Perhaps time to end.

Make it stop, please make it stop.
I was a regular viewer the first few seasons, but it became a parody of itself. It was just more proof that wild success at an early age is sometimes the worst thing that can happen.

They should end it after this year. They had a good run.
