The veteran reality series will return next summer.
September 25, 2022
CBS has picked up Big Brother for a 25th season. The good news was announced by host Julie Chen Moonves following tonight's finale, which crowned the reality show's first ever female African American winner.
On the air for over two decades, the veteran series continues to be one of TV's top-rated reality shows. Airing three nights a week, its episodes consistently draw solid viewership against its prime time competition.
In each season of Big Brother, a group of people move into a house together under the watchful eye of dozens of cameras that record their every move 24 hours a day. Each week one houseguest is voted out of the house until just one remains, receiving a $750,000 grand prize.
Look for Season 25 of Big Brother in the summer of 2023, with Julie Chen Moonves once again returning as host.

Taylor did NOT deserve a win... she just literally "slept" her way to the finale... yay.... woman power! heh.

I feel like this seasons discussions around what happened were thoughtful, and Kyle took full accountability. I thought the way it played out was masterful. Everyone in the house really helped show that he wasn't racist, but that an actual move to form an all-white alliance would have been inappropriate. But in my mind, he never really tried very hard about that. He was just musing, and he agreed with others when it was pointed out, that the optics of that would be bad. I think he (and others) managed that masterfully. So how disappointed was I when the world "cancelled" and began to call him KKK Kyle - that was ridiculous and unfair. Even everyone in the house saw all of this happenings as also being game moves, and even Kyle's musings were about how to get further in the game and about being stuck between the Leftovers and his girlfriend. He was never about keeping any race from winning the game or white power. That got totally misrepresented and was unfair. That said, as a microcosm of society and a social experiment, I love that young people are taking on a multitude of issues. I am proud to be woke. This season, it wasn't about black. Kind of was about women. I was upset that Taylor could win because I didn't think she deserved it. But after having heard her speech she convinced me otherwise. What if it wasn't about comps and social game, but also about resiliency. She said it, we have the opportunity to think about changing what it means to win the game. I thought the speech was right on, and it made me feel that if resiliency was the key, then she really did win. I was team Michael, Monte, Turner, Kyle, all the way... As a woman, I didn't buy into the whole women's empowerment, women rule business. I think you have to be prepared to earn your keep and not cry woman. I think Nicole and Ameerah could have gone very far in this game and were taken out early because they were threats. I was team Nicole from the beginning and they never even let her say a word during the finale. I thought she was mature and thoughtful and great. I thought the interesting part about this season was that the cast really all loved each other. There were minor villains just because people were annoying and immature, but no one was a villain. They were all super close with one another which made the game play that much more complicated. I found that so interesting. How do you play when you truly feel close to one another? I thought it was a fabulous season. I was just afraid of inappropriate backlash for Kyle. I was glad to see people support him by the votes for favorite player. I never vote for those and I voted for him. I gave him four votes, Michael two, Turner two, Monte, two. I found most of the women annoying and irritating. Loved Ameerah and Nicole as i said. To me, they showed such grace and strength as women. I thought the season was just great, personally. And as I think I said, proud to be woke.

Why don't they just name a winner now, for the past two seasons CBS has determined the winner before the season evens started. For two seasons, no non-black player had a chance to win before they even entered the house.

Season 23 made this a race show forever on.... and CBS let it happen. Imagine ... 6 white people form an alliance and SPECIFICALLY state their goal is to get every non-white player out first so a white person can win. Oh the backlash that would have happened. Or 6 Hispanic players, or 6 Asian players. I'm floored that no one stepped in and put a stop to the racial division in season 23. Watch BB Australia.. or Canada... or UK.. the US version COULD be better. The US version just has no "pride of ownership" and desire to keep things interesting. They'd rather let a racial divide grow and dominate if that's what the racists in the house want.

I stopped watching when Julie became the Hillary Clinton of CBS (not a compliment).
The show went from strategy and gameplay to politics and racial division. It took Survivor a little longer to become a bastion for woke nonsense, but now I watch neither.
Both need to die and rot in TV purgatory.

This was a great show until it became so political.
