CBS announced today that The Amazing Race has been picked up for a 36th season. The news comes roughly a month before the reality competition will crown its Season 35 winner. The wait for next season won't be too long, as a March premiere date has already been set.
The show has gotten back on track after the coronavirus pandemic resulted in filming interruptions that caused it to not air a season in 2021. It made up for the lost time by airing two seasons in 2022 and was back to one season in 2023. Like the current season, Season 36 will also feature 90-minute episodes.
Look for Season 36 of The Amazing Race on March 13 at 9:30pm.

Great show.... Love seeing all the different countries they go to. Amazed at how clean other countries are compared to the USA. Ths is a fun show tto watch.

The 90 minute format is too much. This is not a series that needs to dwell much on the competitors. We watch it for putting people in unfamiliar situations and different cultures to see how they cope.
But if CBS is broke and has to fill its schedule with reality shows, this is still a good one.

Sure. Allright sleeves. Wasn't gonna complain till anyone cropped up.
It is not a 90 minute episode. It is 63-64 minutes run time and 26-27 minutes commercials.
So much loss of time.

Great I lovie this show.

Similarly to Survivor, getting 90 minute episodes has been great for the show. It’s great to get to spend more time in each location, and get to see more of the teams’ personalities.
