An action drama following the well-known DC Comics character.
Kara Zor-El was born on the planet Krypton and escaped its destruction years ago with her cousin, Clark Kent. On Earth she was taken in by the Danvers family, and she was careful to hide her powers from the world.
Now 24 years old, Kara must learn to embrace her superhuman abilities to be the hero she was always destined to be.

With all due respect, I have been a fan of DC's for close to 40 years and this is an excellent TV show. It is a positive fun adventure series which is much needed in a world of GrimDark DC. It has brought greater recognition and demand for one of the world's most iconic female super heroes.
Granted, they may not pronounce Kara's name correctly and there are hits and misses throughout, but overall it is getting better and with The Flash crossing over it will be amazing to see these two together "live," especially since the characters had been killed off 31 years ago. There are so many ways that the writers are showing love for the legacy of DC Comics throughout the years.

You are incorrect. As a Supergirl fan it's wonderful to see her interacting with her foster family. Not only is that a way to provide depth and insight to the character but this was something unique to Supergirl long before Superman had his foster parents back Post-Crisis.

Jimmy Olsen has not always been depicted as a nerd. As I replied to someone else, Jimmy Olsen was written and drawn to be an attractive muscular man. He was both an action hero and a super hero. There were scenarios where he was rescued by Supergirl, protective of Supergirl, *married* to Supergirl, and a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes alongside Supergirl.
If you want to see what REAL DC is for comparison, I recommend the animated Young Justice. (darker more serious tones). As for this Supergirl show, on behalf of comic book nerds everywhere, please please flush this turd down!! A MUST CANCEL SHOW!!!"
This show is an example of what the real DC Comics is about, and what Supergirl is about. Hope, Fun, Inspiration, and Aspiration. There are lighthearted moments and serious ones but it isn't overwhelmingly dark. "Young Justice" was a great animated series that should not have been cancelled and I think it has more in common with "Supergirl" than you think. I've been a fan/ customer of DC (and Marvel) Comics for 37 of my 40 years and while I have some issues with it, I think it is a TV series that should be renewed. It is getting better but also it is a much needed brighter take on the DC Universe that has been depressingly dark for too long now.

James Olsen has often been depicted as being a muscular attractive man and his personality has been similar to his TV show version.
Are you threatened by a tall and muscular man being rescued by a woman? In any case, he isn't rescued every episode.

I really like the tv show "Supergirl" . It is a fun tv show to watch. The actress that play Supergirl is outstanding . Supergirl , the tv show is great and a winner !!!!!!!!!!!
