The crime drama will be back in 2019.

NBC announced today that The Blacklist has been renewed for a sixth season. The good news comes days ahead of the crime drama's Season 6 finale, which is promising fans answers to its season-long mystery.
Led by James Spader, the veteran series premiered in 2013 and was one of the top new shows of the year. Ratings have tapered off quite a bit since then, but episodes still draw a consistent audience on Wednesday nights. The show surpassed the 100-episode milestone earlier this year.
The Blacklist stars Spader as an ex-government agent-turned-FBI's most wanted fugitive, who mysteriously surrenders himself to the agency with an offer to help them bring down some of the country's top criminals. The only condition is that he gets to work alongside an FBI profiler named Elizabeth Keen, which leads to a twisting series of events that slowly reveal his true motives.
NBC has reportedly ordered another 22 episodes for Season 6 of The Blacklist, which is in-line with each of its previous seasons. Look for a premiere in January 2019.

James Spader is my favorite actor ever. He is awesome and Megan Boone is good and want to see them back with "Tom" --

They need to bring Tom back with Ryan Eggold playing the part and no one else. These writers are creative and they can figure a way to bring him back. I like Eggold as an actor but not in his new show. He was awesome on Blacklist and they must bring him back. There is so much the writers can do bringing him back and moving forward with the storyline. PLEASE do this.

Great to hear it has been renewed. Love it! Now that we know the bag contains the bones of the real Reddington, it opens the door for some great new story lines.

When I read that "The Blacklist's" rating have dropped off I have to wonder if there is a conscious mind of ANY sort behind the scheduling at NBC. How can fans continue to follow a show when there are huge gaps in broadcast dates, broadcast days switching around every few weeks and a general contempt for the viewing audience. HELLO NBC 1/4 wits! Show some respect for your audience and the actors in your (would be) popular shows!

I love the show but hated it when they killed off Tom. They could have continued with him on there for some great story lines. I am beginning to loose interest with all this duffle bag mystery. Time to eliminate that and write a new story line. Getting boring.

Glad to see it's renewed and it picked back up after the baby drama storyline. I like that Red's has a worthy adversary with his daughter. I believe even after cliffhanger she is still his daughter but the other one isn't. That explains why he's never put any effort into finding her. Not sure how much longer show can go on but I'm a fan of James Spader so I'll watch as long as it doesn't get to boring.

This Season has ended with the mother of all cliffhangers, if they didn't renew it some TV Execs would have to go into hiding lol.
