The veteran medical drama will continue in 2022-2023.

ABC announced today that Grey's Anatomy has been picked up for Season 19. The good news includes a new one-year deal for star Ellen Pompeo to return as the show's title character.
On the air since 2005, the long-running Shonda Rhimes series continues to be a solid performer in ABC's Thursday night lineup. While its ratings are far from they were in its prime, the show still ranks as the network's top drama in the coveted adults 18-49 demographic. It's also the network's longest-running prime time scripted series of all time and the longest-running medical drama in TV history.
Grey's Anatomy follows Dr. Meredith Grey and her coworkers at Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital. The staff of attending physicians, residents, and surgical interns are faced with all types of medical cases, from trivial to life-threatening. While furthering their careers, they learn and grow from the patients they treat and the relationships they form with each other.
Look for Season 19 of Grey's Anatomy this fall as part of ABC's 2022-2023 lineup.

It's ran it's course long ago, just like The Walking Dead

I am surprised this is still on. Happy for the fans, but I stopped watching years ago and cannot understand how it is still on.

No surprise. That being said, it's gotta be coming to an end soon. I could see them doing a 20th and final season.
