CBS announced today that Survivor has been renewed for 35th and 36th seasons. On the air since 2000 with over 500 total episodes, the competition series is the longest-running reality show on broadcast network television. After 17 years on the air, the show still garners considerable ratings that consistently top its time slot competition.
The current season of Survivor, titled 'Game Changers', premiered earlier this month and features returning castaways that were known for making big moves during their previous times on the show.
Look for Season 35 to premiere this fall.

I'm just tired of it. The same way I'm tired of the voice and was tired of American idol. If it were gone, or at least took a hiatus for a few years, it would free up a slot for something else and I wouldn't have to sit through the commercials. Reality tv can get frustrating, knowing that it can go on forever with no end in sight while other shows are gone in a flash. That's probably why this show and other reality shows get so many negative comments.

I'm one of the people that still enjoys it. Don't worry, I am quite aware that there is manipulation--actually, trying to suss that out is part of the fun. Even though a lot of the anti-Survivor folks on here probably think I am a brain-dead time-waster, I am pretty sure I have never wasted my time by posting comments running down shows I dislike and don't watch.

They really need to end this already, if you can't cast a same old tiring show with a new cast and have to keep bringing back cast members no one cares about, perhaps end it once and for all, do you really expect Probst hosting Survivor forever?

.. based on comments here...--------- Survivor.. the show hypocrites complain about -------- They whine and whine about Survivor.. but then get insulting and abusive if you post something against a show they do like. As you all put it on the shows you do like -- don't watch it if you don't like it. Some viewers prefer non-formulaic television programs... and NO ONE thinks it's real-life survival morons.
