CBS announced today that The Amazing Race has been renewed for a 39th season. The news comes a month after the reality competition wrapped Season 38, which featured teams made up of at least one former 'Big Brother' contestant.
The show aired two seasons in 2025, making it just the second time in the last 10 years it has done so. No time frame for Season 39's debut has been announced as of yet.

No shock here.

Generally like the show but CLEARLY they are struggling. There were SEVERAL seasons with no "travel" shown. Mostly post-COVID, so, okay.. maybe travel wasn't very feasible... but then they come back with an all ex-Big Brother cast, ugh. That season completely sucked. CBS just took the easy route and used people already under contract, and stayed in Europe. I have hopes the show will get back to what it used to be (pre season 35), but with each pathetic new season that hope dwindles more.

It's predictable fare. What keeps you watching are the dynamics between the teams and the locations.
It was a comment on our times that season 38 took place entirely in Europe. No trip around the world. Maybe it's a budget issue, but with the increasing troubles in the world the number of places they can safely visit is starting to dwindle.

Yay!! Now this show is must see TV for me. I am glad they have expanded the countries that they visit and it was nice seeing a familiar NYC in the last season finale.
