CBS announced today that Survivor has been renewed for 35th and 36th seasons. On the air since 2000 with over 500 total episodes, the competition series is the longest-running reality show on broadcast network television. After 17 years on the air, the show still garners considerable ratings that consistently top its time slot competition.
The current season of Survivor, titled 'Game Changers', premiered earlier this month and features returning castaways that were known for making big moves during their previous times on the show.
Look for Season 35 to premiere this fall.

They're filming 2 seasons back to back right now so tgis is slightly wrong.
As for the haters who say it's the same thing every season, you've proven you don't watch the show as every season is different instrumentally from 1 season to the next.
And if you don't like the show then don't watch. You don't have to watch every tv show. Grow the **** up.

Probst is worse than Chen on Big Garbage, same nonsense. Probst is the real robot with the 63 millisecond pauses in his repetitive phrases. What "strategy?" It's scripted and all you devotees got shamefully sucked into this worthless and equally colossal waste of time.

Waht?? Wait.. something on TV is "fake" NO! You're kidding! You mean.. Gilligan wasn't really trapped on that island??? You mean the people on Grey's Anatomy aren't REALLY doctors?? And the b-actors on all teh NCIS, CSI shows aren't REALLY cops??? Holy cow! What a revelation.

I seriously cannot believe this ever made it to season 2, much less 35. What a waste of money and programming. Can't stand any of this so-called "reality" crap. Scripted overly-dramatic tripe.

RC - I have watched and loved Survivor since the beginning. The level of strategy on that show has improved year after year and there is always some twist that provides a slight variance that keeps the show fresh. I will continue to watch and love the show, and haters like you should just calm down. You don't even watch it, so how can you say you hate it? Just relax.

I have watched Survivor since the very first show. I know many people who still watch. We are never disappointed at the new strategies used by new and previous players. Everyone doesn't like canned laughter, or heavy drama, I like some of all of it, variety...but this is my go to program and I wish it would stay on many more years. Go Jeff and the contestents!!!!!!!!

I totally agree RC, this show is super overrated. It's the same damn show season after season after season. To believe when it began in 2000 the average ratings were almost 30 Million people a week, and now last season #33 the average ratings were around 10 million. Sadly its CBS and unless the ratings drop below 4 Million people this show will continue on

WHY?!?!?!? Please. Just. Stop. These alleged solid ratings must be overblown because I, personally, don't know anyone who still watches this garbage! I liked it when it was fresh but now season 35? Seriously? CBS has the best comedies on TV now, and should stick with that...
